Episode 85: Extinguished Too Soon

The Murder of Judith Barsi

Do we really know anyone fully? Celebrities present a persona we as fans feel connected to but what are they really going through behind closed doors? Even close friends keep secrets and paint a pretty picture to hide the hurt from those closest to them. This is a case of violence and anger behind closed doors, so carefully hidden that even those who knew the truth didn’t believe it.

Conjure Tip of The Week

Children are often naturally happy and carefree but big emotions can emerge about small things. It can sometimes be difficult to know the difference between normal age appropriate behavior and serious red flags. Here are some things to look for if you suspect a child is being abused.

  • unexplained changes in behavior or personality

  • becoming withdrawn or anxious

  • Sudden uncharacteristic aggressive bursts

  • lacks social skills or have few friends, if any

  • Seem to have a distant relationship with a parent

  • knowledge of adult issues inappropriate for their age

  • running away or going missing

  • always choosing to wear clothes which cover their body regardless of weather
